JACKIE & DAVID in "NUCLEAR HAMBURGER" EPISODE 1

In this the first episode, our heroes go diving for hamburger! After they eat it weird and, terrible things start to happen! Jackie gets flash backs from the war! They have to go see a doctor who, gives them lot's of pills to get better!

The following is a story that I must tell you. A story about a cartoon. A cartoon about a "gravitationally challenge", woman who lives with her only son "David".

They live in a world where "Hamburger" is illegal. They are both addicted to it! The "Generic Government", is in charge of all "Hamburger"! "Jackie & David", must go on missions to find this yummy meaty treat everyone just calls, "H"!

There is no more money as we know it today. There is only "Cigarette & Booze points". The more you smoke and, drink? The more points you get. These points can be used just like regular money! This means that our heroes are always smoking and, drinking! [As did the real people who it was designed after!]

Here's the story of how "The Adventures of Jackie & David", came to be...

Twenty years ago, I first met my wives mother, "Jackie Fisher". She was a joy to be around. I also met her brother that day too. Of course his name is "David". Apart they were fun. Together they were just crazy. I started to, "doodle" some sketches of the pair back around 1989. I went on to drawn over, 200 pictures.

When a theft of a back pack caused me to lose at least 2/3 of the original drawings. The remainder of them ended up in a very short animation film which I did in 1997. It was only 15 seconds long and, had taken me three months to make.

Well, it sat in my hard drive until 2000. That is when I had met my now best friend in the whole world, "Fred Babb". "Fred" said he wanted to see my cartoon. When he saw it he told me to make more of it, than he would show it to some people he knew down in, "Hollywood".

After about a year of working on the film. It was 25 minutes long and, It was still silent.

The characters in the films are all based on real people. People that inspired me greatly!

The people in, "Hollywood" wanted sound. I just never got it on there...

Until now, yes this might be a very rough version. It might have been done "Improv". It is what it is. I am very proud of this, memorial cartoon series by "Ron Gillihan",for a woman who just cared about me.

May she live on forever in her cartoon!
